Microsoft plans to release the game on October 6, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S and PC. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will also get access at launch.
For Gears fans, E-Day continues to look like one of Microsoft’s biggest releases of the year.
Nodusfall Revealed

HoYoverse also revealed Nodusfall during Gamescom 2026.
The cooperative fantasy action game quickly attracted attention. Its darker setting and combat-focused presentation helped it stand out.
HoYoverse has not announced a release date yet. We will be watching for more details.
Rainbow Six Takes a Tactical Turn

Ubisoft revealed Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Tactics.
The new game moves away from the traditional Rainbow Six shooter formula. Instead, it focuses on turn-based strategy.
That gives the franchise a different direction. It may also appeal to players who enjoy tactical games but avoid competitive shooters.
September Is Going to Be Busy
Gamescom also helped set the stage for a packed September.
Several notable games are scheduled for the month. These include The Blood of Dawnwalker, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Marvel’s Wolverine, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, Control Resonant and Minecraft Dungeons 2.
Players across several platforms will have plenty to watch as the fall gaming season begins.

Gamescom was not only about new games.
NVIDIA announced several updates for PC and cloud gaming. These included DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction and new GeForce NOW features.
