Xbox Game Pass subscribers have a busy few weeks ahead.
Microsoft has revealed the second wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for September 2026, with new games arriving throughout the rest of the month.
The latest announcement also gives us an early look at October, including the day-one arrival of Gears of War: E-Day.
Here’s what Game Pass subscribers can expect.

September 15
RuneScape: Dragonwilds

October Starts With Gears of War: E-Day
Xbox has also confirmed two Game Pass additions for early October.
Keeper arrives October 2 for cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Then comes one of Xbox’s biggest releases of the year.
Gears of War: E-Day launches October 6 for Xbox Series X|S, handheld, PC and cloud. It will be available on day one through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
E-Day takes the series back 14 years before the original Gears of War and follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during the beginning of the Locust invasion.
Games Leaving Game Pass September 30
Several games are also scheduled to leave Game Pass at the end of September:

- Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
- Little Nightmares II Enhanced Edition
- Little Rocket Lab
- Sifu
- SOPA: Tale of the Stolen Potato
- Sworn
- Terminull Brigade
If you’re currently playing any of these games, now might be the time to finish them.
September Is Finishing Strong
September already started with games including SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, The Royal Writ and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage.
The second half of the month adds considerably more, with Dune: Awakening, Ninja Gaiden 4 and Minecraft Dungeons II among the bigger additions.
October isn’t wasting much time either.
With Gears of War: E-Day arriving October 6, Game Pass subscribers already have a major Xbox release waiting for them next month.
