Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked is expanding with a new adventure for VR players.
The game’s third campaign, Twilight’s End, arrives September 22, bringing another Dungeons & Dragons adventure to the cooperative strategy game.
A New Adventure for Battlemarked
Twilight’s End continues Battlemarked’s combination of Dungeons & Dragons and Demeo’s tabletop-inspired gameplay.
Players work together as a party, making tactical decisions and battling enemies in an experience designed to recreate some of the feeling of gathering around a tabletop game.
Unlike a traditional Dungeons & Dragons campaign, Battlemarked doesn’t require a Dungeon Master. The game handles the encounters and story progression, allowing a group to jump in and play together.
Plenty of Ways to Play
One of Battlemarked’s biggest advantages is that it isn’t limited to a single VR platform.
The game supports Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2, PC VR and Pico, giving VR players several ways to experience it.
Battlemarked can also be played without a VR headset, and its expansion to Xbox further broadens the game’s audience.
Cross-platform multiplayer means friends aren’t necessarily locked into playing on the same system.
Dungeons & Dragons Is a Natural Fit for VR
Demeo has always leaned heavily into the feeling of playing a tabletop game with friends.
Bringing the Dungeons & Dragons universe into that format makes plenty of sense, particularly in VR, where players can gather around a virtual game board and interact with the world from a much more immersive perspective.
Twilight’s End gives existing players another reason to return while adding more content for anyone just getting started with Battlemarked.
With VR continuing to expand across Quest, PS VR2 and PC, games that support multiple platforms could become increasingly important for keeping multiplayer communities together.
Are you playing Battlemarked in VR, or would you rather play it on a regular screen?
